To play Chromaroma you need a Chromaroma account and an Oyster Card. When you sign up for a Chromaroma account, we require your e-mail address, first name, surname, a nickname, and a password. In order that we can take your journeys and apply them within the game, we require your Oyster Card number, your Oyster username, and your Oyster password. All of these details are stored in an encrypted format within a secure database, and are only used to collect the information pertaining to your Journey History as made available by Transport For London on your online Oyster account page.

The same applies to the Barclays Cycle Hire account details.

We will not pass on your information to any third parties.

We use up-to-date industry procedures to protect your personal information and comply with the Data Protection Act.

To take advantage of certain parts of the game, you can choose to enter a ‘Home Station’ (the station you usually depart from, e.g. near your home) and a ‘Frequent Destination’ (a station you often travel to, such as work). These details are private, and are not shared automatically within the game, or in any third party application that you setup to post to (e.g., Twitter and/or Facebook).

Chromaroma takes your Journey History from your account with Transport For London, and applied the rules of the game to it. You can view your Journey History on your profile page along with the game events associated with it. This Journey History is only viewable by you and the people you have shared your Journey History with.

Should you choose to do so, you can share parts of your Journey History with linked third party applications such as Twitter and Facebook.

Permitted Travellers are those players that you have granted permission to view your Journey History.

Friends are those players that you have granted permission to view your Journey History, and who have also chosen to grant the same permission to you.

Visible Travellers are those players who have permitted you to view their Journey History. This does not enable them to view your details unless you permit them or ‘Share Back’, when they will become a Fellow Traveller.

Your travelling habits are visualised in an interactive 3D visualisation within the game. These visuals are only viewable by you and the people who you have shared your Journey History with (Permitted & Fellow Travellers).

Chromaroma uses Twitter and Facebook to create social gameplay. Once you have registered for a Chromaroma account, you have the option to link to these applications via their secure app connection features. We do not hold any login information for these services. Once you grant Chromaroma permission to access your account, it is only used to search your contacts for people you know who also use Chromaroma, and to make it possible for you to share your game activity with your friends on these platforms.

We may use public information such as your overall score, or any information that you have made public via a third party service, to share publicly regarding the use of Chromaroma.

You can, at any point, change or delete your Oyster details, Barclays Cycle Hire details, Chromaroma password, Home Station, Frequent Destination, Facebook account link, and Twitter account link.
